Camps & Dreams

PREMISE

____________________

However talented a refugee might be, nurturing that talent into a successful career, is just simply an unobtainable dream.

Mahmoud Al Burai is determined to discover if there really is no hope for these youths or if the solution just hasn’t been found yet.

Whilst visiting 4 very different camps in Greece, Jordan, Bangladesh & Mexico, he meets a number of extremely talented youths, showing great promise in the fields of sport & the arts.

Throughout this ground breaking show, we not only follow the stories of these children, but also join Mahmoud in Dubai, New York, Geneva and London, as he brings together a crack team of experts intent on actually finding a sustainable and permanent solution, to realise the hopes and dreams of adolescent refugees around the world forever.

The drama twists and turns in the pursuit of this seemingly impossible solution. Inspired by Mahmoud’s own story as a successful refugee, the team connect with the best global institutions, find out how the biggest international brands are helping and work with some major philanthropists, to unpick their way through the web of international bureaucracy, confront the prejudice and  ultimately create “Camps & Dreams”.
